RETURN TO SCHOOL

RETURN TO SCHOOL

It is lovely to have all our children back in school. The children have adapted to so well to the changes and started the new school year with smiles and enthusiasm. A big thank you to all our parents and carers for working with us to make this happen.

Arrangements for the start and end of the school day

To ensure that the start and the end of the school day are as safe as possible we will have different start/finish times and will use different entrance and exit points.

Nursery/Reception start at 8:30am and finish at 2:30pm. They will use the car park gate next to the subway.

Year 1 and Year 2 start at 8:30am and finish at 2:30pm. They will use the usual side gate. Y1 enter and leave at the first side door and Y2 to enter and leave at the second side door.

Year 3 and Year 6 start at 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm. They will use the car park gate next to the subway.

Year 4 and Year 5 start at 9:00am and finish at 3:00pm. They will use the usual side gate. Y4 to enter and leave at the first side door and Y5 to enter and leave from the second side door.

Parents with children in Y3-Y6 will need to drop their children at the gate and they will be escorted/guided into school. Children will need to be picked up from the correct door.

We encourage all parents/carers to walk with their child to school. Where this is not possible could you please leave your car either at the bottom of Summerville Road or on the other side of the subway.

Only one parent/carer should bring their child/children to school. Please can you adhere to social distancing guidelines (keep 2 metres apart) whilst bringing your child to school and taking them home.

If you have siblings with different start/finish times all the children must start school at 8:30am and finish at 3:00pm.

The school gates will open at 8:25am and 2:25pm. If you arrive early you must keep 2 metres apart from other parent/carers and staff and avoid crowding at the school gates.

There will be staff on the school gates at the start and end of each day to support our families and to make sure we are safe.
