If your child has to isolate due to Covid19 but is well enough to learn we will provide remote learning via our online platform - SeeSaw.
The teachers will provide remote learning everyday for your child. Each day children will receive maths, reading, writing, spelling/phonics and PE activities to complete. Every time they complete an activity, the teacher will mark and assess their work and provide them with the next lesson in that subject. In addition to these core subjects, there will be other learning opportunities throughout the week for the rest of the curriculum such as history, art, geography etc. The learning will be the same topics and units of work that the children would have been taught had we not closed. Full details of the curriculum each year group are studying can be found by clicking on the link below.
We hope the children are able to engage with learning and access and complete all the work set. However, we do understand that there are often other demands in the home during these times such as parents working from home, household members being ill and needing care or technical difficulties. We will support you as much as we can during these times to ensure your child receives the best remote education possible. The last thing any of us want is for your child’s education to be disrupted or damaged any more than it has been already due to the pandemic. We will discuss what we can do to help during the regular phone calls you will receive while your child is accessing home learning.
Full details of our remote learning offer can be found in the home learning handbook for parents and the Remote Learning Policy. Copies of these can be accessed by clicking on the links below. All of our children have already been provided with the necessary codes for logging into Seesaw, Times Table Rock Stars and Collins Reading Books. If you have lost or misplaced any codes, please call the school office and we can provide them.
If you have any concerns about our remote learning offer or you need further advice and/or support please contact your child's class teacher in the first instance. If you still have concerns please contact Miss Lucas (Deputy Headteacher & Curriculum Lead). If at this point you feel that your concerns haven't been resolved please contact Miss Jordan (Headteacher).
